Q. What Is Get Recovered . Com?

A. Get Recovered is a small division of The Neighborhood Network based in Quincy, IL. It's a facility for end users to send their failing hard disk systems for data recovery, disk revival or secure data transfer to new or like new storage mediums. It is a proven facility used by friends of the Neighborhood Network to accomplish what would otherwise be cost prohibitive data recovery and preventative maintenance services.

Q. How are you able to perform these services?

A. Very carefully and with proven skills and expertise, we handle your data as if it were a prematurely born child. We insure attention to detail as to what data can be recovered, and what data is irrevocably lost. We do offer the very best 110% efforts to assure you that every step will be taken to resolve your stranded and/or fragmented data issues in a timely and professional manner, as we do with our other many unmatched new and innovative services. Due to the fact that truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, we offer no 100% guarantees. We only offer best efforts.

Q. How can we trust you with our data?

A. Within our organization we offer services that are trust-based. For example, GetTrusted.Com is a trusted service that has multiple attributes regarding online user trust and authentication. We are composed of two members that are Thawte web of trust notaries and FAA licensed aviators. This means individuals and groups trust us with their social security numbers, birth certificates and other personally identifiable information, as well as their lives when they're in the air with us when going to and from meetings and service calls. We've been proven trustworthy in many ways.

Q. How do you recover data?

A. By implementing our trade secrets.

Q. What are your consulting fees?

A. Our fee schedules are on a case by case basis. You'll need to e-mail us with details regarding your situation. The contact info is on the front of our homepage and if you are a friend or patron of The Neighborhood Network, you will have precedence in accessing our service.

Q.What are your qualifications?

A. Approximately one year of responsible experimentation, trials and research prior to the launching of this site. We've kept quiet about this since everything that we've offered to the general public as NeighborhoodNET in the not too distant past seems to end up as a mimic offer on another site. Namely an ISP or Computer Company's site. We have never just up and decided to do things out of the blue as we've heard from other individuals that never keep in touch with us "Oh, you're doing this now?". We observed a need and we earned our position to fulfill a need for nationwide trusted data recovery services.

Q. How long does it take to resolve my data issues?

A. That is on a case by case basis since no two situations are ever the same. Data recovery is a big "What If?".

Q. Will anyone other than you ever see our data?

A. No, under no circumstances will anyone ever have the opportunity to view your data other than the trusted individual that you will be working with on a personal level. We facilitate a stand alone device that we connect your drive or other media to in order to recover your data and see that your data is locked in a fire, flood, static proof, and temperature controlled vault before and after operations. Our clean facility is also 100% HIPAA compliant. We also implement a "security by obscurity" method of physically hiding your drive. Only you and your recovery worker will know where it is.

Q. Who will you not perform data recovery for?

A. That's easy. Organized crime, suspected terrorist, child pornographers, convicted felons, politicians, hackers, crackers, script kiddies, ISP's, web hosters, and computer companies that we have no good standing relations with. Nor will we work for individuals under the age of 18 or any non-US citizen. And yes, we will know who you are. We have our ways.

Q. How can i get more info?

A. Just contact us anytime either through e-mail, IM, or phone. Fishing calls will be ignored.

Q. What other services are available regarding my data needs?

A. Along with data recovery, we offer media format conversions and data archival services. For example, you can have data from that old five and a quarter 1.2 Meg floppy disk transferred to a faster, more modern format. Or, a old QIC-80 tape transferred to a CD for long term storage or recovery purposes. All work is done with the same care that goes into our data recovery routines. Like everything else, it's all done on a case-by-case basis. So you'll need to call or e-mail us your specific wants or needs.

Q. I'm buying a used Hard Disk and want to know how reliable it is. Can you provide an evaluation of the disk?

A. We can give you a full evaluation of the drive. Just have the seller send the drive to us and we'll send you both a copy of the evaluation.

Q. What are your rate scheduels?

A. Hourly, flat rate, or on retainer. $150.00 per recovered gigabye is the general fee. If additional hardware is needed to fix your media, you'll need to provide the funds to purchase it. There's no fee if data recovery or transfer is deemed impractical.
